One of the first large projects I started for the Australian Products Company was helping to design the "spokesmodel" for their Down Under Delights line of frozen foods. Aussie Dawn, as she came to be known, started as something akin to Jessica Rabbit, but with a great deal of input and direction from the company's owner and a close circle of Aussie friends, I finished Dawn as the glamorous Jillaroo seen here. She now graces the back cover of the annual catalogue. About 30 hours work went into creating Dawn. Click on the Image for a Larger Version. |

The next project I worked on for the Australian Products Company was to create our spin on the famous Boxing Roo, their sporting flag. Now, the Boxing Roo is a strong symbol of Aussie pride, so I knew the pressure was on the create something of which they would be proud. Creating our Mighty Fighting Roo was probably one of the more challenging projects I've attempted in Photoshop. The finished product, again with input from my co-workers, came out much better than I'd ever hoped. The Mighty Fighting Roo is now featured prominently on the company's website, has become a run of napkins, and will soon hopefully become a line of shirts. Click on the Image for a Larger Version. |
